Rein iN guides
How to separate personal and business finances
Mixing personal purchases with materials, suppliers and customer payments makes a business hard to understand. Rein iN provides a dedicated space for business transactions, separate from Personal. It is an operational tracking tool for you: it organizes records but does not replace tax accounting or automatically represent your real bank balance.
1. Create your business space
Open My business and enter its name, industry, organization type and main currency. Choose a recognizable name. The space starts with its own records; creating a business does not move your existing personal transactions into it.
2. Choose the space before recording
In the app, select your business before recording income or an expense using the available methods. Add amount, date and a useful description, such as materials or customer payment. Personal purchases stay in Personal; do not duplicate one payment to show it in both spaces.
3. Review a comparable period
Check income, expenses and the period’s difference on the web with the same account. Use consistent dates and one currency to interpret totals. Review notes for large transactions before drawing conclusions about how your business is doing.
A practical example
Example: you record an ARS 85,000 customer payment and ARS 24,000 in materials in your business. The difference between those two entries is ARS 61,000. This alone does not establish net profit: other expenses, taxes or transactions may be missing.
Frequently asked questions
Does creating a business change my personal expenses?
It does not move existing personal transactions. Each space keeps its own records. Check where you are recording before saving; selecting the context first keeps household purchases from getting mixed with business costs.
Is this tax accounting?
Totals use your records, their dates and one currency. They are not a tax return or financial statement. For tax obligations and bank reconciliation, work with the relevant documents and your accounting professional.
