How to track your investment portfolio with Rein iN

A clear portfolio starts with accurate records, not a purchase recommendation. Rein iN helps track stocks, ETFs, bonds and other investments you already own. These records organize your assets: the app is not a broker and does not execute purchases, sales or money transfers.

1. Activate Pro on the right account

Recording and editing investments require Pro access. To subscribe, sign in on iPhone with your web account and open Settings → Plan and subscription. Access is shared; you do not need to pay for another subscription on the web.

2. Enter a position and its details

In Investments, choose Add investment and search for the instrument or use the available manual entry. Check name, quantity, purchase price per unit and currency. Associate account or platform details where relevant. Use your broker’s confirmation to avoid confusing total cost with unit price.

3. Compare cost and current value

Review the quote, its date and any missing information. Automatic prices depend on available coverage; you must keep manual values up to date. Review each currency separately and distinguish unrealized gains or losses from money you actually received.

A practical example

Example without fees: you hold two units bought at USD 100 each. At a quote of USD 110, cost is USD 200, current value USD 220 and the difference USD 20. That difference is not yet cash received or a guaranteed return.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add ARS and USD directly?

They are not comparable amounts without a defined conversion. The portfolio shows currencies separately. Before comparing positions, check currency, quantity and price date; do not interpret a sum of different currencies as available cash.

Do I need to connect a broker?

You can enter positions manually. Where a read-only connection is available, it lets you view institutional information; it does not turn Rein iN into a trading platform. Compare entries with your confirmations and check the update date.
